The state of Victoria produces roughly 65% of Australia’s total milk. We are firm believers in ‘Healthy Cows’ producing ‘Healthy Milk.’ Therefore, outstanding animal husbandry is essential to ensure the best quality products and happy, healthy cows. On average, most pasture-based dairy farmers milk their herds twice every day, seven days a week for 10 months of the year, observing everything from subtle changes in animal behaviour to specific physical symptoms. A dedicated dairy farmer knows the condition of each cow and are able to take early steps to address any problems that may arise. 

On average, each dairy farm has 250 to 350 cows grazing on natural pasture. Unlike countries where space is limited, here in Victoria, we have large expanses of natural, green pasture for cows to graze and roam on all year round. Our rainfall and climate is conducive to producing healthy green pasture for our cows to graze on. As such, it is no wonder that the cows living on such lush, green lands are the healthiest and that Australia produces the best quality of milk in the world. We ensure that this quality is incorporated in our Dairy Products. Together with our dedicated dairy supplier, our fresh milk is collected daily from the fertile Goulburn Valley region in Victoria and processed immediately, enabling us to produce some of the finest quality products, with high nutritional values, in the world. All our dairy products are 100% manufactured, packed and sealed in Victoria from local and imported ingredients.

Industries fully functioning blending and canning facility, located in Derrimut, Western Melbourne.

The Derrimut site, managed and operated by Tatura Milk Industries, received CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of China) registration during July of 2014 (Establishment number. 2179).

Tatura Milk Industries and Omniblend Nourish have entered into a Nutritional Powder Blending and Canning Manufacturing and Supply Alliance operated and managed by Tatura Milk Industries in which both parties have:

• co-operated on the selection of the location and the design of the nutritional powder blending and canning manufacturing facility;
• co-operated on the selection of the nutritional powder blending and canning equipment for the facility
• co-operated in the development of an agreement allocating capacity to both parties’.
• The Tanker Bay is where all the milk going into the TATURA plant is received. The bay handles up to 2 million litres of milk per day, delivered by tanker trucks with a 34,000 litre capacity.
• Eighty per cent of the milk delivered to the TATURA Tanker Bay comes from within a one-hour drive of the plant. This region of rural Victoria is known for being one of the cleanest and most unpolluted places on earth.
• Every delivery of milk from the bay is processed at the plant within 24 hours. The result of this process is some of the freshest dairy based products in the world.

Lactoferrin can be purified from milk or produced recombinantly. Human colostrum ("first milk") has the highest concentration, followed by human milk, then cow milk (150 mg/L)

Lactoferrin is one of the components of the immune system of the body; it has antimicrobial activity (bacteriocide, fungicide) and is part of the innate defense, mainly at mucoses.[1] In particular, lactoferrin provides antibacterial activity to human infants.
